I’m Brandy Joyner. I’m a freelance proofreader and writer. I created Bad Writer because at one point I had been filled with insecurities about my own writing. But I used those insecurities to work hard and gain confidence in my writing. Now, the label of being a bad writer no longer weighs me down, but pushes me forward.

Character traits are characteristics and qualities that define us. Usually, when you come across character traits and characteristics, someone is trying to define you, or you’re trying to define yourself. Think about the last resume you made where you had to list the great qualities about yourself that make you perfect for the job.
As writers, we know many roadblocks can stop us from finishing our stories, but not many people mention the biggest roadblock of all– coming up with ideas for novels and scripts. We know we want to write something; we deeply desire it, so much so, that we buy notebooks and open up Word documents. But despite having a blank canvas to write on, we can’t because we can’t come up with an idea to write about yet.
